Besides the Dakar ray being the most difficult, resultingly the most famous cross country rally, unfortunately it is the most infamous for taking victims every year. The French motorist, Pascal Terry (Yamaha, 192. start number) was found dead on the Argentinean pampas on the way of the Dakar. The competitor got lost on Sunday - and were searched for since then - and was found at an inaccessible place covered by bushy plants 15 meters away firm his motorbike.
After his accident he was alive, he took off his the helmet, food and drink was found near him, and he made a little shelter for himself. The 49 year old French competitor was participating on the first Dakar rally in his life.
